Breaking: American President Escapes Assassination Attempt

Federal agents on Tuesday arrested an Iraqi immigrant for plotting the assassination of George W Bush. Shihab Ahmed Shihab Shihab, 52, was arrested and was charged with trying to bring foreign nationals into the country to carry out the assassination. The Democrats would approve since they are all for bringing in immigrants to do jobs Americans won’t. Shihab was arrested in Columbus, Ohio by FBI agents on Tuesday morning.

Shihab received tens of thousands of dollars for helping smuggle the foreign nationals, Iraqis, into the country through Joe Biden’s open border. Shihab agreed to smuggle one Iraqi across the border in 60 days after payment. But, the person he was talking to was actually an FBI agent. Shihab gave the agency specifics on exactly how he would get him across the border. Shihab allegedly planned to bring four more Iraqis into the country to carry out the plot.

But, since Shihab did receive tens of thousands of dollars but never smuggled anyone into the country, I have to wonder if he was running a scam. I mean, why did he not smuggle anyone into the country as he was pocketing money to do just that. Did he actually have a plan on where and when the assassination would take place? Won’t that make it harder to prosecute him? Especially if he contends it was a scam to make money, whether it was or not. How long of a prison sentence do you get for scamming terrorists?

From The Daily Wire

The alleged plot to assassinate Bush was first revealed by Forbes, which obtained an FBI search warrant application filed on Monday. The affidavit said that Shihab planned to assassinate the former president and took steps to carry out the plot, even traveling to Dallas to take video of Bush’s ranch and the George W. Bush Institute.

Shihab allegedly plotted to get four Iraqi citizens living in Iraq, Turkey, Egypt, and Denmark into the U.S. through the southern border to assassinate Bush, then planned for those four to leave the country to escape law enforcement. According to the FBI, Shihab told one confidential FBI source that one of the men he planned to bring into the U.S. is “the secretary of an ISIS financial minister.” All of the men, he allegedly said, are “former Baath Party members in Iraq who did not agree with the current Iraqi government and were political exiles.”
