Hooters is making a return to NASCAR this weekend, sponsoring Cole Custer’s No. 41 Chevrolet at the Cup Series championship race at Miami-Homestead Speedway. Hoots, the brand’s owl mascot, and the Hooters Girls are scheduled to appear at the track to mark the occasion.
It is the first time Hooters has appeared on a car since a 2024 dispute with Hendrick Motorsports, which filed a lawsuit seeking $1.705 million after a sponsorship deal fell apart. Hooters ultimately paid $900,000 to settle the claim.
The NASCAR sponsorship comes amid a rough stretch for the restaurant chain, which has closed locations in Chicago and Atlanta this fall, along with a location at Daytona International Speedway that shut down permanently in October.
