Former West Point Cadet Sued Over Secretly Drugging Pregnant Girlfriend With Abortion Pills

A former West Point cadet who pleaded guilty to secretly drugging his pregnant girlfriend with abortion medication, causing a miscarriage, is now being sued by the woman over the 2022 incident.

A former cadet at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point is facing a civil lawsuit after admitting he secretly drugged his pregnant girlfriend and gave her abortion medication without her knowledge, ending her pregnancy in a miscarriage.

The woman, identified in court papers as “Jane Doe,” filed suit against Caleb T. Suh in New York Supreme Court on Oct. 28, alleging assault and battery and seeking compensatory and punitive damages.

According to the complaint, Doe and Suh were both cadets at West Point when Doe learned she was pregnant in January 2022. She told Suh she intended to keep the baby despite his repeated pressure to have an abortion. The complaint states Suh eventually appeared to support her decision, but secretly used her identification to set up an online pharmacy account in her name and order abortion medication without her consent.

On Feb. 4, 2022, Suh allegedly brought Doe a drink he described as a pregnancy protein shake to her barracks room. She became sick and drifted in and out of consciousness after drinking it. Hours later she was taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed she was having a miscarriage.

Doe reported the incident to the Army Criminal Investigation Division at West Point in May 2022. Suh was charged in federal court in June 2026 and pleaded guilty on June 30 to assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a dating partner.

In admitting guilt, Suh acknowledged creating the online pharmacy account using his girlfriend’s identity and also admitted obtaining Xanax to sedate her before giving her the abortion pills.

“My intent was use the Xanax to unwittingly sedate my girlfriend so that I could then administer the abortion pills, which I had obtained via the online pharmacy,” Suh said, according to the complaint.

He further admitted deceiving Doe into believing he supported her pregnancy before giving her the medication, and acknowledged she later miscarried “as a result of the abortion pills that I had administered without her knowledge and consent.”

Path to two Ivy League schools

After leaving West Point, Suh enrolled at Cornell University, graduating in May 2026, and then entered a master’s program at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.

A Cornell spokesperson told Fox News Digital that when Suh applied as a transfer student, he answered “No” to a question asking whether he had been found responsible for a disciplinary violation at a previous school. Cornell said his prior institution reported he was in good academic standing and eligible to return.

A person with knowledge of the matter told Fox News Digital that Columbia was unaware of Suh’s status until the New York Times contacted the university, at which point the school took swift action. That person said Columbia’s application does not require applicants to disclose prior criminal convictions.

Suh asked a federal judge in October to delay his sentencing until January 2027, in part so he could finish his semester at Columbia. Federal prosecutors did not oppose the request, and U.S. District Judge Philip M. Halpern granted it.

‘Outraged on her behalf’

Doe’s attorney, Russell Kornblith, a partner at Wigdor LLP, said in a statement that the lawsuit lays out the trauma his client endured.

“Our complaint sets out that our client was forced to endure an unimaginable trauma and was robbed of a pregnancy she wanted, while Mr. Suh has since managed to attend not one, but two ivy league schools. We are outraged on her behalf and plan to aggressively pursue justice,” Kornblith said.

West Point and an attorney for Suh did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
