Teresa Giudice Reflects on Her Beauty Evolution Ahead of New Book

New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice says writing her new book made her realize how much her approach to beauty has changed, shifting her focus toward skincare and simpler, more natural glam.

New Jersey reality TV star Teresa Giudice says nearly two decades in front of Bravo cameras have reshaped how she thinks about beauty — and it was writing her new book, “The Queen of New Jersey,” that forced her to look back and notice the change.

Giudice told Page Six Style she had never actually sat down and watched her many seasons of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” until working on the book, and the exercise made clear how much her approach to glam has shifted over the years.

“I’ve learned that less can sometimes be more,” Giudice said. “I still love glam — I’m always going to love glam — but now I really care about skincare and what my skin looks like underneath the makeup.”

These days, she said, everything begins with hydration. “Moisturizer is huge for me. The older I get, the more I realize that good makeup really starts with taking care of your skin,” she said. “When I was younger, I could get away with doing whatever. Now I’m religious about moisturizing, [and] taking my makeup off.”

She singled out The Face Shop’s Rice Water Bright Wipes as a go-to for removing makeup, calling them a “lifesaver” that make it “quick and easy to get everything off in one go.” Giudice has since partnered with the brand. “I always remove my makeup at the end of a long day, no matter how tired I am,” she said.

Tips From Fellow Housewives

Filming “Ultimate Girls Trip” with other Bravo stars has also given Giudice new beauty ideas, she said. “We’re all such beauty girls, and everyone has their own little secrets. Everybody brings so much stuff [and] someone always has something another person wants to try,” she said.

She recalled admiring castmate Lisa’s hair during the shoot. “I remember looking at Lisa’s hair and thinking, ‘How is your hair always so shiny and gorgeous?’ I love discovering new hair masks, oils and treatments, especially because I put my hair through so much with filming and glam.”

Kyle Richards, she added, “always smells amazing.” “I’m such a fragrance girl, so whenever someone smells really good, I have to ask what they’re wearing,” Giudice said.

Her Go-To Products

Despite picking up new favorites from castmates, Giudice said years in glam chairs have taught her that technique matters more than quantity. “One thing I’ve learned is that you don’t necessarily need more makeup — you need the right prep,” she said.

Among her staples, Giudice described a classic nude lip as her signature look. “I love a beautiful nude lip, especially with a little gloss on top. It’s such a classic look [and has] always been my go-to. I usually do a nude-brown liner, a creamy nude lipstick and then gloss,” she said, naming Kiko Milano’s Rosy Nude, Natural Rose, and Almond Vibes shades as favorites.

She also named the Gucci Poudre De Beauté Éclat Soleil Bronzing Powder and the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer as bronzer picks, and praised Lancôme Lash Idôle mascara for lashes. “I love long, full lashes, and I’m all about making my eyes pop!” she said.

For body care, she pointed to La Mer’s The Body Crème. “I’m Italian, so taking care of my skin and looking put together has always been important to me,” Giudice said.
