Pretty Little Liars Actor Keegan Allen Robbed at Gunpoint in West Hollywood

Actor Keegan Allen says he was struck with a handgun and robbed of his watch by two masked men outside a West Hollywood grocery store on Oct. 8; the LA County Sheriff’s Department confirmed responding to the robbery call.

Actor Keegan Allen, known for his role on the ABC Family series “Pretty Little Liars,” says he was pistol-whipped and robbed by two masked men outside a West Hollywood grocery store on the night of Thursday, Oct. 8.

The 37-year-old said the attack happened in a parking lot on Santa Monica Boulevard, where the store Laurel Supply is located. He described the incident in a video posted to his Instagram account, where blood could be seen running down his face and neck.

“I was just robbed of my watch outside of Laurel Supply,” Allen said in the video. “These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off. They had masks on [and] they took my watch.”

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed deputies responded to a call for a robbery at 8445 Santa Monica Blvd. shortly after 9 p.m. A department spokesperson said deputies found a male adult who reported being approached by two men dressed in black.

“One suspect pointed a silver handgun at the victim while the other pointed a knife and demanded the victim’s watch and bracelet,” the LASD said in a statement. “Shortly after, the victim was struck in the face with the handgun. The suspects obtained the victim’s watch and fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.”

The Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded and evaluated Allen at the scene. He was not hospitalized immediately afterward, but later checked himself into a facility out of concern that he had suffered a concussion.

West Hollywood operates as its own incorporated city within Los Angeles County, with its own sheriff’s station contract rather than falling under LAPD jurisdiction.

In a follow-up post, Allen referenced surveillance cameras in the area, tagging West Hollywood officials along with California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, writing he hoped the cameras could help identify the suspects.

No arrests had been announced at the time of reporting.
