Gisele Bündchen did not walk the runway at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles, but she still found a way to steal a moment during the star-studded event.
A pre-taped video of the Brazilian supermodel played before Bella Hadid opened the show, with Bündchen asking viewers, “Are you ready for the show?” In the clip, she wore a pink lace bra and panties layered with one of the brand’s signature pink-and-white striped silk robes, a familiar backstage look from the label’s lingerie shows of years past.
Bündchen reappeared in a second video at the close of the show, this time eating popcorn and dropping a hint about what might come next. “Wasn’t that amazing? You’re gonna be seeing more of me real soon,” she said, with a wink to the camera.
Bündchen’s history with Victoria’s Secret dates back to 1999, when she made her debut with the brand. A year later she signed a $25 million contract, at the time a record-setting deal, and went on to model for the company for six years, including wearing the “Red Hot Fantasy Bra” in 2000. That piece, valued at $15 million, held the title of most expensive Fantasy Bra ever made until Thursday night’s show, when Kylie Jenner walked the runway in a $50 million diamond-covered design by Jacob & Co.
It has been 20 years since Bündchen last walked in a Victoria’s Secret runway show, though she returned for a print campaign in 2023 alongside fellow supermodels Naomi Campbell and Adriana Lima. In January 2026, Hailey Bieber recreated one of Bündchen’s most recognizable campaign looks, a move some took as a possible signal of the original star’s eventual return.
The Los Angeles show came one day after Bündchen was photographed leaving the Delano Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, on crutches with a large black medical boot on her ankle. Given the tease in her video appearance, it’s possible fans could see her return to a Victoria’s Secret campaign once she has recovered.
