New Video Shows FBI Meeting Swalwell at San Francisco Airport Amid Misconduct Probe

Newly surfaced video shows FBI agents meeting former Rep. Eric Swalwell at San Francisco’s airport in August, the same day agents seized his devices amid a sexual misconduct investigation.

Newly released footage shows former Rep. Eric Swalwell being met by FBI agents at San Francisco International Airport on Aug. 15, the day agents seized his cellphone and laptop as part of an ongoing sexual misconduct investigation.

The video, first obtained by the California Post, shows Swalwell deboarding a plane wearing a black sweatshirt and hat before FBI agents approached him at the gate.

The following day, the FBI searched Swalwell’s Washington, D.C., home, according to Fox News Digital’s previous reporting.

Swalwell resigned from Congress in April after 13 years representing his California district, following mounting allegations of sexual misconduct that he has denied. He also withdrew from the California governor’s race around the same time.

At least five women, including a former staffer, have accused Swalwell of sexual misconduct or rape.

“I will fight the serious false allegations made against me,” Swalwell wrote at the time of his resignation. “However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make.”

The airport footage quickly circulated on social media, drawing criticism and mockery, including comments about Swalwell’s clothing. Former Rep. George Santos wrote, “I needed this lol.” The account Catturd posted, “He’s still cooked.” Other users compared his outfit to that of rapper Eminem.

Fang Fang investigation resurfaces

The airport encounter comes as the White House has released declassified documents tied to a separate, long-running FBI investigation into Swalwell’s past relationship with Christine “Fang Fang” Fang, a suspected Chinese intelligence operative.

According to documents released by the White House Government Transparency task force, Swalwell told FBI agents he had “physical relations” with Fang on a handful of occasions, with their last sexual encounter occurring in March 2015. Swalwell was interviewed by the FBI about the relationship first in May 2015 and again in March 2016.

Fang has previously been described by U.S. officials as having suspected ties to China’s Ministry of State Security, and her parents were reportedly linked to Chinese intelligence.

Fox News Digital reported it reached out to Swalwell’s attorney and the FBI for comment.
