Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have named their newborn daughter Rose Bean Polansky, according to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ and reported Thursday.
The document shows the child was born June 9 at 11:19 p.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The couple had kept the birth private for months. Page Six confirmed on Sept. 11 that the two had welcomed their first child, though no additional details were shared at the time.
Photos obtained by Page Six later showed the singer, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and Polansky out for a walk with their newborn in Northern California, with Gaga carrying the baby against her chest.
A source told People that Lady Gaga, 40, and Polansky, 42, “both took time off of work this summer to be with” their new daughter. The insider added that the couple “both beam when they talk about being parents,” and that Polansky “seems lighter, happier.”
Before the recent sighting, Gaga had largely stayed out of the public eye since finishing her Mayhem Ball tour in April. She was last spotted publicly taking a selfie with a fan in Northern California in August.
Gaga had spoken openly in the past about wanting to become a mother. In a November 2025 interview with Rolling Stone, she said, “Being a mom is the thing I want the most.” She also said Polansky was “gonna be a beautiful father” and that the pair were “really excited” about starting a family.
Gaga and Polansky began dating in 2019 and announced their engagement at the 2024 Paris Olympics. In March, Gaga said during an appearance on Bruno Mars’ “Romantic Radio” iHeartRadio livestream that the two were “getting married soon.”
In September, a source told the Daily Mail that friends of the couple suspected they had secretly married. “No one has seen her or heard from her in over a month,” the source said on Sept. 8. “Everyone in her circle thinks she eloped with Michael and is on her honeymoon now, trying to make a baby.”
