The New York Giants, off to a surprising 1-0 start under new head coach John Harbaugh, travel to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, tonight to face the Los Angeles Rams, who enter the Monday Night Football matchup at 0-1 despite being considered one of this year’s Super Bowl favorites.
Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET, with the game airing at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart and the Giants will try to build on their opening win against a Rams team led by Matthew Stafford and running back Kyren Williams. Defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who unretired, could also make his first appearance in nearly two years for Los Angeles.
Oddsmakers have installed the Rams as 7.5-point favorites. Los Angeles has won its last four meetings with New York dating back to 2017.
Yahoo! Sports predicted a bounce-back performance from Stafford and the Rams, writing that “the Rams are anxious to show that they will be the best team in the league this year and that hard-trying and improving teams like the Giants can’t stay with them for 60 minutes.”
Harbaugh, however, dismissed any notion that his team would be overwhelmed.
“Our job is to get better, keep improving, because you have to,” Harbaugh said. “You have to improve to have a chance to be successful next week. So, our guys understand that, and I don’t expect or have any inkling; I don’t believe that’ll happen for one second.”
A win tonight would give the Giants their first 2-0 start since 2022.
Fans without cable can watch the game through a live TV streaming service. Several providers, including DIRECTV, offer free trial periods for new subscribers that include ESPN and ABC among their sports channel lineups.
