Joe Biden’s administration demonstrated a shocking willingness to use deadly force against his primary political adversary, Donald Trump, and his family, during the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago in August 2022.
This alarming revelation came to light on Tuesday when Judge Aileen Cannon unsealed documents related to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s classified documents case against Trump.
The unsealed documents expose that the FBI, operating under Biden’s authority, was prepared to use deadly force during the raid. The instructions for engaging with Trump and his security team were detailed, showing a readiness to confront the former president.
This aggressive approach is evident in the following excerpt: “Should FPOTUS [Trump] arrive at MAL [Mar-a-Lago], FBI MM EM and OSCs will be prepared to engage with FPOTUS and USSS Security Team.”
The document further revealed that the FBI would use deadly force only when deemed necessary, as stated in the following quote: “Law enforcement officers of the Department of Justice may use deadly force only when necessary, that is, when the officer has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the officer or to another person.”
This situation arose after Joe Biden revoked Trump’s executive privilege, a move that paved the way for the Justice Department to charge Trump with federal crimes.
Following the revocation, Trump was subpoenaed, which eventually led to the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago. The raid, conducted without allowing any of Trump’s lawyers to be present, resulted in the retrieval of documents.
By November 2022, Special Counsel Jack Smith was appointed to investigate the documents stored at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. In June 2023, Trump was indicted on 37 counts, including willful retention and other charges such as conspiracy to obstruct justice, withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record, concealing a document in a federal investigation, scheme to conceal, false statements, and representations.
This series of events has raised serious concerns about the weaponization of the justice system against political opponents, highlighting the potential dangers of such actions in a democratic society.
