OPINION| In a disgusting display of disrespect and hatred, pro-Hamas mobs took to the streets of several Democrat-run cities across America on July 4th, burning American flags and chanting anti-American slogans. This disgraceful act, which occurred on the very day we celebrate our nation’s independence, is a stark reminder of the growing influence of radical left-wing groups and their disdain for our country’s values.
The scenes were captured on video and shared widely on social media, sparking outrage among patriotic Americans who were appalled by the blatant disrespect shown to our nation’s flag. In one video, a group of protesters can be seen setting an American flag ablaze while chanting “Death to America” and “Free Palestine.” The footage is a disturbing reminder of the dangerous ideologies that are taking root in our country, fueled by the left’s relentless push for open borders and their embrace of radical ideologies.

The fact that these protests took place on Independence Day, a day meant to celebrate the birth of our great nation, is particularly galling. It is a slap in the face to every American who has fought and died to protect our freedoms and way of life. The American flag is a symbol of our country’s strength, resilience, and unity, and to see it desecrated in this way is a disgrace.

What is even more concerning is the fact that these protests were allowed to take place in Democrat-run cities, where the rule of law and respect for our country’s values seem to have been abandoned. It is no coincidence that these cities, which have been plagued by high crime rates, homelessness, and economic decline, are also the ones where radical left-wing ideologies have taken hold.
