OPINION| In a stunning display of hatred and intolerance, a professor at Morgan State University in Maryland has penned an article suggesting that “black people” wish the shooter had killed President Trump. This is a shocking and dangerous admission from a supposed educator, and it highlights the deep-seated animosity that many on the left harbor towards our president.
The article, which was published on a far-left website, claims that black Americans are justified in wishing for the death of President Trump because they believe he is “evil.” This kind of rhetoric is not only irresponsible, but it is also dangerous. It promotes violence and hatred, and it undermines the very foundations of our democracy.
Patton writes:
‘Is it immoral to yearn for the death of another human being? Of course it is, in most cases.
Patton uses that twisted logic to say that the July 13th attempt on President Trump’s life is an equivalent moment in time to killing Hitler and thus Black Americans would wish for the former president’s death because they wish for “the death of evil.”
Violence is America’s main currency and Donald Trump has served as the spark for the official rebirth of white supremacy.
Black people are not reveling in violence. We are wishing for the death of evil. We are longing for the prevention of evil. For a moment on Saturday, we held our collective breath. We were suspended in uncertainty, caught between desperation and hope, asking: What if?’
As Trump supporters, we must stand up against this kind of toxic ideology. We cannot allow our universities to become breeding grounds for radical leftism and anti-American sentiment. We must demand accountability from our educators, and we must hold them to a higher standard.
It is no secret that the left has been trying to delegitimize President Trump since the day he took office. They have tried every trick in the book to undermine his presidency, from the Russia hoax to the impeachment sham. And now, they are resorting to promoting violence and hatred.
But we must not be deterred. We must continue to support our president and his America First agenda. We must stand up for the values that made this country great: freedom, liberty, and the rule of law.
The left’s hatred of President Trump is not rooted in policy disagreements or ideological differences. It is rooted in a deep-seated animosity towards the American people and the values that we hold dear. They hate President Trump because he represents the American people, and they hate the American people because we stand in the way of their radical agenda.
But we will not be silenced. We will continue to fight for our president and for the future of our country. We will not allow the left to divide us or to undermine our democracy. We will stand together, united in our support for President Trump and for the values that make America great.
In the end, the left’s hatred of President Trump will only serve to strengthen our resolve. We will not be intimidated by their threats or their violence. We will stand strong, and we will continue to fight for the America that we know and love.
So let the left continue to promote their hatred and their violence. We will respond with love, with patriotism, and with a determination to make America great again.
