On August 12, 2023, Clinton Monroe Ellis-Gilmore, a member of the Eureka, California chapter of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence was arrested at Table Bluff County Park in Loleta, California. The arrest was due to publicly exposing himself.
After receiving a report of a male exposing himself in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 53-year-old man.
According to numerous witnesses, Ellis-Gilmore had been at that location for approximately one hour, sitting in his truck with the door open, masturbating,” a sheriff’s report said, according to the Daily Wire. “The conduct does not appear to have been directed at anyone in particular.”
The man was reportedly shirtless at the time of his arrest, and a witness stated that he was blatantly disregarding the alleged crime. Randy Creek reported witnessing Ellis-Gilmore with his left leg outside an open car door and his right leg on the dashboard while pantsless.

It was “f**ked up,” Fleek said. “It’s obvious. You cannot help but see this guy, he’s not hiding it.”
The witness reported that the man desired for everyone to observe his actions, even expressing satisfaction when the sheriffs appeared and helped him get dressed.
“There’s something wrong with that man. He’s got a weird f**king desire to show off to the public, to anybody that wants to look at him,” Fleek added. “He puts himself in a position and in a spot that you can’t help but look at the son of a bitch.”
Ellis-Gilmore is reported to operate under the aliases “NoviceSister Bethe Cockhim” and “Novice Sister Man Romeo,” with a Facebook account registered under the former.

This caused a public outcry in California which resulted in a protest gathering of thousands outside the stadium.
Major League Baseball players Trevor Williams and two Dodgers’ pitchers Blake Treinen and Clayton Kershaw voiced their disapproval of the group’s religious mockery.
