It is unacceptable that Joe Biden has allowed the situation of illegal immigrants in the United States to deteriorate to the point that it has.
His mishandling at the border has overwhelmed many states and the effects are finally causing top Democrats to turn on him.
In New York City, Mayor Eric Adams has publicly called out the president for the influx of migrants that have been entering the city, saying, “This should not be happening to New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and the other big northern cities, and really it should not be happening to El Paso or Brownsville, Texas. No city should be carrying this burden. This is a national problem and it needs a national solution.”
In other cities, such as Chicago, protests have broken out on the South Side of the city, as residents attempt to prevent migrants being housed in a closed-down high school.
The situation has been made even worse by the Biden administration’s decision to allow Title 42 to lapse at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, as well as their plans to allow illegal immigrants to be released on “parole with conditions” without any means to track them or giving them court dates.
Republican officials in Florida have filed a lawsuit against the administration’s “quick release” program, and U.S. District Judge Kent Wetherell issued a ruling to halt the program.
It is clear that the current administration has failed to address the crisis of illegal immigration in the United States.
Rather than investing in the proper infrastructure to process and deport illegal immigrants, the Biden administration has chosen to turn a blind eye and allow the situation to spiral out of control.
This is a betrayal of the American public who expect their leaders to protect their country’s borders and enforce immigration laws.
It is also a betrayal of those who are seeking a better life in the United States. By prioritizing illegal immigration instead of providing more effective legal immigration pathways, Biden’s really screwing over everyone but the criminals.
