Senator Dianne Feinstein, a 90-year-old Democrat from California, was recently hospitalized following a fall at her San Francisco home.
There is no word yet on the severity of her injuries, however, it has been confirmed that she was admitted to a local hospital for treatment and later released back to her home.
This incident has raised concerns about Senator Feinstein’s health and fitness to serve in the Senate after she had already taken an extended break earlier this year due to medical issues such as shingles, facial paralysis, memory loss, vision and balance impairments and swelling of the brain.
The lapdog media is doing their best to downplay the event, so as to not risk any disruption in the Senate. Cnn reported it this way:
Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California was hospitalized for a short time Tuesday after a fall, according to a spokesperson, the latest in a string of health issues for the US Senate’s oldest member.
“Senator Feinstein briefly went to the hospital yesterday afternoon as a precaution after a minor fall in her home,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “All of her scans were clear and she returned home.”
TMZ first reported Feinstein’s fall.
To make matters worse, Feinstein recently ceded power of attorney over to her daughter Kathleen Feinstein – 66 years old – due to legal battles concerning the estate of Richard Blum (her late husband).
During a recent Senate vote last week, Senator Feinstein appeared confused as she tried to give a speech instead of voting “aye” as instructed by Senate Appropriations Chairwoman Patty Murray.
After several attempts to get Senator Feinstein back on track with just saying “aye” when prompted by Chairwoman Murray without any success, they finally got what they wanted when Feinstein said “okay…just…aye!”
It is truly baffling how such an elderly Senator can be allowed crucial decision-making powers in spite of suffering from multiple ailments and having given away power of attorney over her own estate.
It is time for us Republicans in Congress to take serious action against this situation before it is too late, we must ensure that every single senator serving our country possesses adequate physical and mental capacity so that their decisions are sound ones that will not put our nation at risk.
