On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. During his speech, he warned the United States and its allies that they can’t destroy Russia with their invasion of Ukraine. This comes as the Biden administration recently agreed to send Abrams tanks to Ukraine in a bid to escalate the war. In response, Germany announced they would be sending Leopard 2 tanks shortly after.
The Kremlin called this a “blatant provocation” and Putin responded by warning that Moscow’s response to such threats won’t just be limited to armored vehicles. He cautioned that those who are expecting an easy victory should expect something else entirely when confronting Russia’s modern-day defenses. This urgent nuclear war warning from Russia was further amplified when the Doomsday Clock moved closer than ever before to midnight, prompting the World Health Organization (WHO) to urge countries to start stockpiling medications for potential nuclear emergencies.
“Unbelievable, but true – we are once again threatened with German Leopard tanks, with crosses on their hull. And once again seeking to battle Russia in Ukraine with the help of Hitler’s followers, the Banderites,” Putin said.
“Those who expect to win a victory against Russia on the battlefield don’t understand that modern-day war with Russia will turn out totally differently for them,” he warned.
“We aren’t sending tanks to their borders, but we have the means to fight back and they won’t be limited to armor. Everyone should understand this,” he continued.
In addition, Dmitry Medvedev, a close ally of Vladimir Putin, recently warned that a military defeat for Russia in Ukraine could lead to a nuclear war with the West. And back in September, Putin himself sent out a strong message that his nuclear threat is most certainly not a bluff. He made it clear that, if required, Russia would use all means necessary to protect their country and people from any outside aggression on their territorial integrity.
It is evident from these events that tensions between Moscow and Washington have been at an all-time high, with both superpowers firmly entrenched in their respective stances and unwilling to back down on their goals or positions, making it likely that any attempts at diplomatic resolution will be complicated at best and outright unsuccessful at worst.
Now…isn’t it ironic that the liberals who were so scared that President Trump was going to start World War III are the ones who actually voted for a warmonger who is on the brink of taking us there in reality? They sure are quiet now.
