WARNING: We Have Never Been Closer To CIVIL WAR Than Right NOW

Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has claimed that the mostly peaceful demonstrations on January 6 were “the worst attack on our Democracy since the Civil War.” The topic then trended on Twitter.

“What we saw on January 6th was the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War,” the divisive press secretary claimed in a briefing yesterday, made on the heels of news that the partisan anti-Trump January 6 committee voted to urge the Department of Justice to indict the 45th President.

She added, “Our Democracy continues and remains under threat.”

Predictably, conservatives were shocked by her claim.

Many were upset that Jean-Pierre considered the Civil War to be the single largest attack on Democracy™ in American history, with others pointing toward World War II, and some pointing toward the terrorist attacks on September 11.

“Did they forget about Pearl Harbor and 9/11?” The Hodgetwins wrote, “No, they just love spreading lies”.

Another popular Twitter account simply edited the remarks to add clown makeup to Jean-Pierre’s face and circus music to the background.

Conservative documentary film maker Errol Weber compared the events of January 6 to the months-long riots that engulfed the country during the 2020 “Summer of Love.”

“So she’s just going to ignore that the Democrats enabled, funded, and bailed out rioters,” wrote Webber, “as they burned, looted, and murdered people during the Summer of Love in 2020.”

Conservative radio host and columnist Derek Hunter countered by insulting the collective intelligence of Joe Biden’s White House.

“People this stupid in power is the greatest threat to our democracy since the civil war,” wrote Hunter.

In the same press conference, Jean-Pierre admitted that Biden lied when assuring members of the press and the public that he would undergo a health physical before the end of the year to mark his 80th birthday.

While Biden promised the public he would be examined “before the end of the year” at a recent event, Jean-Pierre informed the public that Biden would continue to avoid the doctor’s office for “the coming months.”
