The FBI ambushed Trump’s election lawyer as he was leaving a restaurant with his wife and a friend. They forced him to hand over his phone and made him unlock it. They took the phone with him. The January 6th Committee previously subpoenaed Eastman, but he sued them because they are not entitled to his work product of his client, President Trump. In his court filing, Eastman claimed that the FBI searched and seized his phone.
Eastman is insisting that his phone be returned to him and that the J6 committee not be given access to the phone. Some judge needs to rule on the very existence of the J6 committee, which is unconstitutional and does not conform to House rules. The FBI ambushed him on the same day they mounted an armed early morning raid on the home of Trump DOJ official Jeffrey Clark. They refused to let Clark get dressed and they forced him to stand outside in his pajamas.
I am very interested to see if Republicans start handing out a massive amount of subpoenas, but even more interested to see if the FBI stage the same type of raids against the Democrats as they have done with Republicans. I’m willing to bet they won’t. In fact, it would not even surprise me if they outright refuse to search anyone’s house for any reason. Since they are owned by the DNC, it might be considered to be a conflict of interest.

The FBI seized the phone of former President Donald Trump’s election attorney John Eastman last week, according to a new court filing from the lawyer.
Eastman disclosed the search and seizure in federal court in a lawsuit that he filed in New Mexico on Monday, calling it improper.
About six federal investigators approached the right-wing lawyer in New Mexico when he was exiting a restaurant after dinner with his wife and a friend, according to the court filings. Agents were able to get access to Eastman’s email accounts on his iPhone 12 Pro, the filings said.
Eastman contends the agents “forced” him to unlock his phone. A seizure warrant document included in Eastman’s filing noted any electronic devices agents seized were to be sent to Washington, DC, or the Justice Department inspector general’s forensic lab in northern Virginia.
