Anti Gun Nut Alec Baldwin Shoots and Kills Rising Star Cinematographer & Wounds Director

Actor Alec Baldwin reportedly shot and killed a female cinematographer and wounded the director on the set of Baldwin’s latest movie because of a prop gun misfire.

“Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun on a set in New Mexico on Thursday, accidentally killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza,” Variety reported.

It is being reported that the shooting incident took place on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where Baldwin was filming his upcoming Western, “Rust.” Hutchins, who initially was not identified, died after being transported via helicopter to the University of New Mexico Hospital.

Joel Souza, the director of the film, was transported by ambulance to Christus St. Vincent’s hospital where he remains in emergency care.

On Thursday, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that both Hutchins and Souza “were shot when a prop firearm was discharged by Alec Baldwin, 68, producer and actor.”

Sources familiar with the situation told Deadline that the incident resulted when Baldwin allegedly “cocked a gun during a rehearsal, unaware that there were live rounds in it, hitting two people, a man and a woman.” Representatives for Baldwin, a known hotheaded anti second amendment rights zealot, did not respond to media requests for comment.

Being a leftist gun hater, Baldwin never took the time to learn the golden rule of firearm handling, something all Second Amendment rights advocates know, which is you never point a firearm at anyone you are not willing to kill. Even if it’s a fake gun.

It was reported that Hutchins was shot in the stomach and Souza was hit in the shoulder. No arrests have been made so far as a result of the incident, though the Sheriff’s office has confirmed that the investigation remains “open and active.”

Baldwin is now being tormented by an old tweet from 2017 over a California police officer shooting dead a violent suspect where he tweeted “I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone…”

Hutchins was referred to as a “rising star” by American Cinematographer in a profile piece that was published in 2019

“My transition from journalism began when I was working on British film productions in Eastern Europe, traveling with crews to remote locations and seeing how the cinematographer worked,” she said of her transition into cinematography. “I was fascinated with storytelling based on real characters.”

Right now, I’m just really interested in finding fruitful collaborations,” she says. “To me, it’s the collaborative effort between creative minds that elevates each other’s work.” From Russian cinema, she names The Cranes Are Flying cinematographer Sergey Urusevskiy and director Mikhail Kalatozov as an exemplary case. Another, she says, is Christopher Doyle, HKSC and Wong Kar-wai. Hutchins adds, “I’m just hoping to find my Wong Kar-wai.”

Alec Baldwin shooting two people, killing one, and wounding the other was a tragic accident. If the actor wasn’t such a real-life miscreant villain, I might have some sympathy for him. But I’m done thinking cordially about Hollywood leftists who use their celebrity to side with the crazy half of our society. My sympathies go to the loved ones Baldwin harmed.
