A federal grand jury in Wichita has indicted a Pittsburg-area postal worker on charges connected to the theft of thousands of pieces of mail, including hundreds of political mailers, according to the Department of Justice.
Kelly R. Cram, 59, is accused of stealing approximately 4,404 pieces of mail beginning in October 2026 that were intended for delivery to customers in and around Pittsburg, Kansas. Investigators say the mail was found stored in her garage.
Among the items allegedly taken were nearly 400 political mailers. The DOJ said all of those mailers were tied to Republican candidates or Republican-affiliated political action committees, and that agents found no mailers for candidates of any other party at her residence.

The DOJ added: “Agents found no mailers related to candidates of any other political party at Cram’s residence.”
The case was brought before a federal grand jury in Wichita, which sits in Sedgwick County. Further details on the charges against Cram, including potential penalties, were not disclosed in the DOJ’s statement.
