VIDEO: Democrat Rep. Wendy Ullman Calls Miscarriage ‘Just Some Mess On A Napkin’

If you’ve been with us for more than a few days, you know that we on this site are very much pro-life.

I believe it’s safe to say that to a man (and yes, we use the term in a generic sense, as in mankind, which includes men AND women) we are adamantly against the act of abortion. It is no less than first-degree premeditated murder for hire.

People somehow have been indoctrinated to believe that to get rid of an unborn baby is of no more consequence than getting rid of a tumor that needs to be removed.

Not everyone has that attitude, however. Earlier this week, a bill was introduced in the State of Pennsylvania in the form of House Bill 1890 that addresses the respectful and dignified handling of the remains of a miscarriage.

Of the lawmakers in Committee who voted on bringing the bill to the floor,  the tally went predictably down party lines. Democrats ALL voted against it, and all the Republicans voted for approval.

One of the Democrats, in particular, made a statement that sounded an awful lot like Ilhan Omar’s comments about 9/11 being “something that some people did.” She called the remains of a miscarriage” just a mess on a napkin.”

This from LifeSite News:

On Tuesday, Pennsylvania state legislator Rep. Wendy Ullman (D-Bucks) said a miscarriage is “just a mess on a napkin.”

Rep. Ullman made the shocking statement while expressing her opposition to a Republican-sponsored bill seeking to handle the remains of the aborted and miscarried with dignity. House Bill 1890 would require abortion clinics and healthcare facilities to bury or cremate such lost unborn children, as opposed to tossing out the children like medical waste.

“[House Bill 1890] refers specifically to the product of conception after fertilization, which covers an awful lot of territory,” said the Democratic lawmaker during a House Health Committee meeting. “I think we all understand the concept of the loss of a fetus, but we’re also talking about a woman who comes into a facility and is having cramps and — not to be, not to be, concrete — an early miscarriage is just some mess on a napkin.”

Tom Shaheen, Vice President for Policy for Pennsylvania Family Institute, quickly condemned Ullman’s insensitive statement. “A miscarriage, no matter how early, does not result in a ‘mess on a napkin’ but the loss of a child,” Mr. Shaheen rebuked the Democrat. “Each human life deserves respect, even when lost at an early stage in development.”

EVERY human life is infinitely precious, no matter what the stage of development. I personally know a family who had a total of six children, yet only four lived.

The first three and nunber six are still alive now, but numbers four and five died, one before birth and one within an hour or so of being born, and according to stories that the family has told me, he was in worse shape physically than the one who was born but then died.

I’ve teased him that the reason he’s still alive and kicking is that he was just too stubborn to quit! He laughs when I say that.

Whatever the case, the mom and dad went through a lot of pain and grief over the loss of those two babies. Someone like this disrespectful Democrat calling a miscarried child “just a mess on a napkin” shows terrible insensitivity.
