Ocasio-Cortez Is Toast After Multimillionaire Republican Sets Their Sights On Her Congressional Seat

Elder Patriot – Opinion- A wealthy anti-socialist from New York City has verbally committed to backing a Republican opponent to Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez according to a well-connected GOP operative.

The New York Post reported that Bronx Republican chairman Mike Rendino told the paper, “There’s definitely national energy and money on this race,” adding that that megabucks donor is worth north of $200 million with the ability to raise more.

Rendino said that the mystery donor also has significant well-heeled connections in Manhattan that would be interested in lending financial assistance to the effort.

Former deputy to past Governor George Pataki, Tom Doherty, added his belief that a Republican challenger to the radical leftist would be able to “raise real national money.

“We need to put individuals forward and make the incumbent work for re-election.”

Ocasio-Cortez has been in office less than four months but has already defined herself as arrogant and ignorant.

After only 6 weeks in office Ocasio-Cortez had successfully(?) scuttled a multi-billion dollar development project along the Queen waterfront that was projected to create 25,000 jobs and to generate $27 billion in tax revenues.

Carolyn Maloney, the Democratic Congresswoman from Long Island City, the district where Amazon had been planning to locate its east coast operations, was livid after Amazon announced it was pulling out:

This tweet from then candidate Ocasio-Cortez hasn’t aged well, has it?

Ocasio-Cortez won election in the 14th Congressional District of New York with only about 16,000 votes.  Not by 16,000. That was her total vote count. The district has nearly 700,000 residents.

How many unemployed residents of the 14th Congressional District had plans to apply for work at Amazon?  How many construction workers – heavy machinery operators, masons, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc. – would have worked on the project?

In New York City those workers are all union members.  Union members that once voted exclusively for Democrats.

How many of those people have spouses and voting age children?

This alone should make Ocasio-Cortez vulnerable for any candidate with the money to flood the expensive New York media market with the facts about her role in chasing Amazon’s massive project out of town.

Only days after the Amazon debacle, Ocasio-Cortez threw her support behind her colleague, Ilhan Omar after a series of anti-Semitic tweets led Speaker Pelosi to bring a resolution to the floor of the House to condemn anti-Semitism.

Because of Ocasio-Cortez’s resistance in support of Rep. Omar, the resolution had to be watered down in order to pass.

How’s that going to sit with NYC’s massive Jewish population?  With 1.5 million Jews living in the city, it’s safe to say there’s at least 16,000 living in the 14th CD who will turn out to vote for her opponent.

It’s still early but that only mean Ocasio-Cortez has more time to alienate more voters.
