Actor Jeremy London is pushing back against reports describing him as homeless, saying he owns a condo in Florida and was reacting in the moment to stress over a possible job loss.
London, 54, best known for playing Chandler Hampton on “7th Heaven” and for his role in “Party of Five,” posted on X on Friday to correct coverage from People about an earlier, now-deleted post describing his situation.
“Guys … I have a condo in Florida. People mag out here making me look homeless,” London wrote. “I was just in shock from by [sic] boss’ behavior and didn’t want to have to go back to Florida. Jesus, they really have nothing else to report on.”
In a separate post less than an hour later, London criticized celebrity media coverage more broadly, writing, “Being a celebrity of any kind is so stupid. Our tweets should not be news.”
He also responded directly to an E! News article about the original post, telling fans the story had been “blown out of proportion.”
“I have a condo in Florida. I just didn’t want to leave PA because I fell in love with it. I was definitely sad and in shock. But I’m not destitute. Apologies for confusing wording in the moment.”
The concern began Thursday, when London shared a since-deleted post saying his boss appeared to be going through a crisis and that he feared losing both his job and his housing. According to People, he wrote, “Guys … my boss is going through some kind of mental crisis and I may be losing my job and home … This can’t be happening again.”
In that post, London asked if anyone had work or housing available and said he was struggling to sleep and breathe. He said he was “praying” his boss was “just having a manic episode of some kind” and described himself as “in shock.”
When a social media user questioned the situation, noting London seemed like a working actor, he replied, “I wish this was true. It’s why I try to keep other jobs. Most actors starve otherwise.”
London has drawn media attention before, including after a 2018 arrest in Jackson County, Mississippi, on domestic violence charges. At the time, a representative for London described the incident as stemming from an “emotionally charged situation” between the actor and his wife, Juliet Reeves, whom he married in 2014.
