Larsa Pippen says she has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, disclosing the health news on her Instagram Story Thursday.
The “Real Housewives of Miami” star, 52, shared the update after reposting a headline about actor Matt Damon revealing that his wife, Luciana Barroso, suffered a brain aneurysm and underwent brain surgery in 2024.
“I get diagnosed with a brain aneurysm yesterday, and I wake up to this,” Pippen wrote.
Page Six reached out to Pippen’s representative for comment. No further details about her condition, treatment or prognosis have been made public.
According to the Mayo Clinic, a brain aneurysm is a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain. In rare cases it can rupture, causing bleeding in the brain. A ruptured aneurysm can quickly become life-threatening and requires emergency treatment.
Pippen has spoken publicly about her health before. In August 2025, she addressed changes in her appearance, explaining she had an allergic reaction to a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatment.
“I did have an allergic reaction to the PRP, which I didn’t even know you can have, so my face is a bit swollen, but it doesn’t look like that, so keep on hating guys,” she said in a video message at the time.
PRP treatments use a patient’s own blood platelets to promote healing and tissue repair, according to Penn Medicine.
Pippen was married to NBA legend Scottie Pippen for more than 20 years. The couple share three sons, Scotty Jr., 26, Preston, 24, and Justin, 21, and a daughter, Sophia, 17.
She later dated Marcus Jordan, 35, son of Michael Jordan, before their split was reported in February 2024. A source told Page Six at the time that tension in the relationship had been “incited” by Michael Jordan, 63, publicly denouncing it.
Pippen began dating basketball player Jeff Coby, 32, in early 2025. In July, she told People the couple were discussing engagement rings.
“I feel like we’re on a really good path right now,” Pippen said. “We get along with everything. He’s been asking me what shaped stones I like, so I’ve been giving him little hints.”
She added that she and Coby “haven’t really talked about the size, but we just talked about [how] I like the brilliant cut or an oval,” and said Coby has “the best relationship” with her children, who play board games and talk basketball with him.
