Kimmel Pokes Fun at Trump After Heckler’s Crude Outburst Over White House Ballroom

Jimmy Kimmel mocked a profane heckle shouted at President Trump over his White House ballroom project during a Mississippi rally, joking the phrase could follow him to upcoming stops in Ohio and South Carolina.

Jimmy Kimmel used his ABC late-night show Tuesday to riff on a profane heckle shouted at a recent Trump rally in Mississippi, joking that the phrase could become a recurring theme at the president’s upcoming stops.

During Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel referenced an attendee at the Mississippi rally who yelled “Shove that ballroom up your fat ass” at President Donald Trump before being removed by security. Kimmel suggested, sarcastically, that it “wouldn’t it be a shame” if people repeated the line at future Trump appearances.

He went further, joking that it would be “even worse” if the phrase were printed on T-shirts, then held up a red shirt bearing the words in white capital letters.

“Please, please don’t do this at his next rally tomorrow in Ohio or the next one in South Carolina. Please! It’s beneath us,” Kimmel said, in a clearly sarcastic tone.

The heckler’s comment referred to the $400 million ballroom under construction at the White House, a project that has drawn legal and political scrutiny. In August, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that construction on the ballroom could proceed, handing Trump a win after the project faced challenges.

Following that ruling, Trump posted on social media thanking the court. “We are grateful for the Decision of the United States Supreme Court,” he wrote, describing the project as “THE GREATEST OF ITS KIND” and saying it was something “Presidents have wanted for 150 years.” He added that construction was “under budget and ahead of schedule.”

Trump had additional rally stops scheduled in Ohio and South Carolina following the Mississippi event.
