Real Estate Brothers Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander Get 30 Years in Sex-Trafficking Case

Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander, once prominent luxury real estate brokers, were each sentenced to 30 years in prison for a yearslong sex-trafficking scheme that prosecutors say victimized at least 70 women.

Three brothers once known as rising stars of New York luxury real estate were each sentenced to 30 years in prison Tuesday for running a yearslong sex-trafficking scheme that prosecutors say victimized dozens of women.

U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni imposed the sentences on Tal Alexander, 40, and his twin brothers, Oren and Alon Alexander, 39, in federal court in New York.

A federal jury convicted the three in March of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, inducement to travel to engage in unlawful sexual activity, and multiple counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.

Prosecutors had pushed for life sentences for each brother, while defense attorneys argued for the 15-year statutory minimum.

In a court filing, prosecutors alleged the brothers had raped or sexually assaulted at least 70 women, calling them “serial rapists.” During the four-week trial, 11 women testified against the brothers, including some who said they were minors at the time of the encounters. They described being showered with gifts, flown to parties and other destinations, and given drugs before being assaulted.

Eleven accusers spoke in court Tuesday before sentencing, describing lasting harm from the assaults, according to The Associated Press.

“It took one night, only a few hours, one invitation to completely wreck the girl I once was,” one woman, identified by a pseudonym, told the court, the AP reported.

Lindsey Acree testified that Tal Alexander and another man raped her at a Hamptons home in 2011 after she drank something that left her feeling paralyzed.

“The biggest thing is why? Why did you do this?” Acree said, according to the AP. “I don’t understand the cruelty. I don’t understand the hatred towards women.”

In his closing argument at trial, prosecutor Andrew Jones told jurors the brothers had built an image as wealthy party boys while preying on women.

“They used a consistent playbook to lure, isolate and rape their victims,” Jones said. “They did it with callousness and a perverse sense of pride.”

The brothers denied the sex-crime allegations throughout the trial, with their attorneys arguing the encounters were consensual and accusing prosecutors of overreach. Before sentencing Tuesday, each brother addressed the court and again denied drugging or raping anyone.

“I am not here to discount what they have said,” Oren Alexander said of the accusers. “My brothers and I have never drugged or raped anyone. We never trafficked anyone for sex and we never conspired to hurt anyone.”

Oren said he regretted some of his past behavior toward women but maintained he and his brothers were innocent of the crimes for which they were convicted.

Before their arrests in 2024, Oren and Tal Alexander had built prominent careers in luxury real estate, rising through the ranks at Douglas Elliman and brokering major deals, including the nearly $240 million sale of a penthouse in 2019 that was then the most expensive residential sale in U.S. history. They later co-founded the luxury real estate firm Official in 2022. Alon Alexander worked instead as an executive at the family’s private security company.

Court filings previously obtained by Fox News Digital alleged the brothers used “the promise of luxury experiences, travel, and accommodations” to lure women to locations where they were assaulted. Prosecutors said the alleged abuse stretched back more than two decades, to when the brothers were in high school in Miami.

After the March verdict, U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton described the brothers’ conduct as “calculated, brutal sexual abuse that, unimaginably, the defendants celebrated.”

All three brothers had been held without bail since their 2024 arrests and remained in custody through Tuesday’s sentencing.
