BYU’s Walker Lyons Catches Game-Winner, Girlfriend Rylee Arnold Goes From Sideline to Red Carpet

BYU tight end Walker Lyons caught the game-winning touchdown against No. 2 Notre Dame with girlfriend Rylee Arnold watching, before she flew to Los Angeles for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show red carpet the same weekend.

BYU tight end Walker Lyons caught the game-winning touchdown Saturday as the Cougars upset No. 2-ranked Notre Dame in Provo, Utah, and his girlfriend, “Dancing With the Stars” professional dancer Rylee Arnold, was there to see it.

Lyons finished the game with five catches for 49 yards, including the decisive touchdown that put BYU ahead for good.

After celebrating the win on the field with Lyons, Arnold flew to Los Angeles the same weekend to attend the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show red carpet.

“The proudest girlfriend ever!!!” Arnold wrote.

Arnold, 21, is a professional dancer on “Dancing With the Stars,” currently competing in season 35 with celebrity partner Connor Wood.

BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier said after the win that Notre Dame had “disrespected” him and his family ahead of the upset.
