Dino Tomlin Accuses LeBron James of Lying About Father’s Hamptons Party Appearance

Dino Tomlin, son of former Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, accused LeBron James of lying about whether his father attended Michael Rubin’s Hamptons white party, in a video mainly aimed at Rubin over a Fanatics apparel dispute.

Dino Tomlin, the son of former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, used a recent video to accuse LeBron James of lying about whether his father attended Fanatics founder and CEO Michael Rubin’s annual white party in the Hamptons.

Mike Tomlin recently began a new role as an NBC studio analyst after stepping away from coaching. His son’s video appears to have put him in an unexpected spotlight over a dispute that has little to do with football.

“My dad claims he was invited to [Rubin’s annual white party in the Hamptons] and went. I don’t know the validity of that,” Dino Tomlin said in the video. “You know how LeBron be lying a little bit? Like, sometimes that n**** be lying a little bit.”

Dino Tomlin said the Tomlin family owns a home in the Hamptons, where his father now spends much of his time. He added that he himself was in the Hamptons for the Fourth of July, but said he was unsure of the exact timing of his father’s alleged visit to Rubin’s event. “I was up there for the Fourth of July… So I don’t know what the time frame was, in which [my father] went up there. And I know that n**** didn’t put on all white,” he said.

The bulk of Dino Tomlin’s video was actually aimed at Michael Rubin, not James. The complaint appears to stem from how Fanatics, the sports merchandise company Rubin founded, has handled NFL-licensed apparel created by Dino’s mother.

It remains unclear why James was drawn into the rant at all, since the rest of Dino Tomlin’s comments focused on Rubin and on questioning whether his father actually attended the white party this year, as he reportedly claims to have done.
