A two-step face mask sold widely in Seoul’s Olive Young beauty stores is drawing attention from shoppers ahead of Amazon’s Prime Day sale, with the product currently priced at $12.
The item, the Dr.Jart+ Cryo Rubber Firming Mask, pairs a serum ampoule with a cooling rubber mask that is placed over the skin after the serum is applied. The formula contains adenosine and peptides, ingredients commonly included in skincare products marketed for improving the appearance of firmness and smoothness.
A New York Post commerce writer who traveled to South Korea described visiting Olive Young roughly a dozen times in a single day while shopping in Seoul, and said she brought several of the masks home in her luggage. She said the cooling sensation from the mask felt refreshing after long days spent walking around the city, and that her skin appeared fresher and more polished after use.
The mask is now available at the discounted $12 price without requiring a trip to South Korea, ahead of this year’s Prime Day event, which is scheduled to run Oct. 6 to 7.
Other Korean beauty items are also seeing discounts tied to the sale. The Medicube One Day Exosome Shot 2000 Facial Serum is currently 50% off. A separate anti-aging cream, which the Post says draws more than 20,000 monthly purchases and over 56,000 customer reviews, is priced at $7. A red light therapy mask from iRestore is also listed at $400 off ahead of Prime Day.
The coverage was produced by Victoria McDonnell, a commerce journalist for the New York Post who holds a beauty industry essentials certification from the Fashion Institute of Technology and has written shopping guides for the outlet since 2021.
