The 2026 Emmy Awards air live coast-to-coast Monday, September 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay is hosting this year’s ceremony.
HBO’s The Pitt leads all nominees with 25 nominations, followed by Hacks with 24. Apple TV’s Widow’s Bay picked up 19 nominations, and Pluribus, also from Apple TV, earned 18.
Red Carpet Coverage Start Times
For viewers who want to catch the arrivals before the awards themselves, several red carpet broadcasts are available before the main event:
- E! and CNN’s red carpet coverage begins at 5:00 p.m. ET, with E!’s Live From The Emmys starting at 6:00 p.m. ET.
- NBC’s Pre-Show TikTok Live From the Red Carpet, hosted by Trisha Paytas and Nicky Campbell, airs from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC’s TikTok page.
- People and Entertainment Weekly’s live red carpet coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. ET on their social platforms.
- CNN & Variety Red Carpet Live: TV’s Biggest Night, hosted by Elizabeth Wagmeister and Ramin Setoodeh and featuring Melissa Rivers, begins at 5:00 p.m. ET on CNN.com/Watch and the CNN app for subscribers.
E! Live from the Red Carpet will also be available for next-day streaming on Peacock.
How to Watch the Ceremony
Viewers with a valid cable login can watch the Emmys live on NBC or through the NBC website and app. Those without cable have several other options.
Live TV streaming services offer a way to watch NBC without a traditional cable subscription. DIRECTV, which includes a five-day free trial before payment begins, offers Genre Packs starting at $19.99 a month. NBC is also available through active subscriptions to fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, or Sling TV. YouTube TV, fuboTV, and Hulu + Live TV all offer free trials for new subscribers.
The ceremony is also streaming live on Peacock. Peacock offers two subscription tiers: Premium with ads at $12.99 a month, and ad-free Premium Plus at $19.99 a month. Annual plans give subscribers 12 months for the price of 10, costing $129.99 with ads or $199.99 without.
Peacock Premium Plus can also be accessed through Prime Video, which offers a seven-day free trial not available when subscribing directly through Peacock. A free trial of Peacock is also available through Instacart+.
