A cast member from TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé” Season 12 admitted during the show’s tell-all special that she cheated on her husband multiple times in the months after their wedding.
The revelations about Catie came during the first part of this season’s tell-all, which aired Sunday on TLC. Catie, 26, had promised during the season finale that she would remain faithful to her husband Josh, 30, once they married. Cast members and producers say that promise did not hold.
During the taping, Catie repeatedly broke down when confronted about her behavior. “On New Year’s Eve, I was bad,” she admitted, laughing as she described making out with four other people that night. Her castmates reportedly sat in silence as she spoke.
Josh told producers he was “disappointed” in Catie for “crossing boundaries.” When castmate Edward suggested Josh was too nice about it, Catie responded that her husband was “not that nice.” Asked by host Shaun Robinson whether her partying was the underlying problem, Catie began crying.
“Everyone thinks I’m a bad person. I don’t like this. I’ve been trying to get better.”
Despite the tears, Catie continued laughing as the show replayed footage of her aggressively attempting to kiss friends in front of Josh earlier in the season. When Josh pressed her about her attitude, she said she was “stress laughing.”
Friends detail the New Year’s Eve incident
Producers brought in two of Catie’s friends, Ryan and Danica, to describe what happened at a rooftop party on New Year’s Eve. Danica said Catie invited a man she had a “crush” on from her running club and kissed him twice, including once in front of Josh, before Danica intervened to stop it.
According to Danica, Catie then drank a bottle of champagne and went on to kiss two more people that night, including a man in his 50s named Robert.
Josh said he stepped in himself when he saw Catie heading into a bathroom with the first man she had kissed, and asked the man to leave. Catie acknowledged she was uncertain how far the encounter might have gone had Josh not intervened, saying it was possible things would have escalated beyond kissing.
“I can do whatever I want”
The conversation escalated when Catie told Josh, “I can do whatever I want. I don’t have to listen to you! I just want to be young and just live my life.”
When other cast members asked whether she still wanted to be married, Catie broke down again. “I don’t know!” she said. “I don’t enjoy being together, sorry. I think I do better on my own.”
Catie eventually left the set in tears and was comforted backstage by a producer. “I don’t care if I make out with people, it’s fine,” she said afterward. “I don’t want to talk to any of them ever again.”
