OPINION| In a shocking display of incompetence, President Joe Biden recently made a major gaffe at a NATO meeting, referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin.” The incident, which was caught on video, has left many wondering about Biden’s mental acuity and his ability to lead the nation.
During the meeting, Biden was introducing Zelensky to the other NATO leaders when he made the embarrassing mistake. “Now I want to hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination,” Biden said, before adding, “President Putin.”
The room fell silent as Biden’s words hung in the air. It was clear that he had made a mistake, but the damage was done. The video of the incident quickly went viral, with many people expressing disbelief and concern about Biden’s mental state.
This is not the first time that Biden has made a gaffe like this. In fact, it seems to be a recurring problem for the President.
