OPINION| Well, well, well, fellow Trump supporters, it seems like the Democratic Party is in for a wild ride. According to none other than Ted Cruz, there’s some serious speculation about who might replace Joe Biden on the presidential ticket. Hold onto your MAGA hats, because this is going to be a bumpy ride.
Now, Cruz didn’t come right out and say it, but he did drop some pretty juicy hints. In a recent interview, he mentioned that the Democrats might be considering a “bold move” to replace Biden. And when pressed further, he said, “I think you’ll find the answer in the pages of history.”
So, what’s Cruz getting at? Well, let’s take a little trip down memory lane. Back in 1968, when the Democratic Party was facing a similar situation with a weak candidate (Lyndon B. Johnson), they made a bold move and replaced him with Hubert Humphrey. And guess what? Humphrey went on to lose the election to Richard Nixon.
Now, I’m not saying that history will repeat itself, but it’s certainly something to think about. And if Cruz is hinting at a similar move by the Democrats, it could spell disaster for their chances in 2024.
But who could be the mystery replacement? Some have speculated that it might be none other than Michelle Obama. Yes, you heard that right. The former First Lady herself.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Michelle Obama? Really? But hear me out. She’s got the name recognition, the charisma, and the ability to rally the liberal base. Plus, she’s already got a massive following on social media.
And let’s not forget about her husband, Barack Obama. He’s still a beloved figure among Democrats, and having Michelle on the ticket could be a way to bring him back into the fold.
