A potentially questionable discussion took place in 2017 between members of the Biden family and a Chinese energy company, CEFC. This conversation was said to have taken place off-site due to the sensitivity of the discussion and the participants involved. Just four days after the Biden family returned from a trip to Ireland, an email was sent requesting that the names “The Biden Foundation” and “Hudson West (CEFC US)” be added to the signage at their office in the House of Sweden.
Jim Biden, Joe Biden’s brother, then forwarded an email to Hunter Biden, Joe’s son, stating that “The Rosneft transaction” was a no-brainer, with Hunter later claiming with certainty that the deal would be funded the following week.

Agreed! Both initial options are very strong, especially the Rosneft transaction. This seems like a no brainer.
The “Rosneft transaction” referred to a $9.1 billion investment that CEFC agreed to make in Rosneft, a Russian oil firm, which would strengthen the energy partnership between Beijing and Moscow. However, this deal ultimately collapsed the following year after Ye Jianming, the Chairman of CEFC, was charged with corruption by Chinese authorities. The potential implications of a deal between Joe Biden’s family and a Chinese energy conglomerate regarding a possible partnership with Russia should not be overlooked. It is uncertain how much influence the Bidens had in these negotiations and how it may have affected relations with two of the United States’ greatest adversaries.
Hunter’s email to his travel agent stating that he needed to fly to Ireland sooner than expected, along with the belief that Joe had already purchased the Biden family’s non-refundable tickets, raises further questions about the urgency of the trip. This is notably concerning given that Hunter and Jim had previously joined Joe on a trip to Ireland where they had “off-site” discussions with members of CEFC. It is unclear if Joe was present at this discussion. The potential implications of this trip and the discussions that took place with CEFC are significant and require further investigation.

This is not the 1st time Hunter went with Joe to Ireland. Hunter and Jim went with Joe back in 2017.
While there, Hunter & Jim met with members of the CEFC group "off site" due to the "sensitivity of the discussion and participants."
