Open your wallet and bend over America, you’re paying for people to have their … you know what’s … chopped off. Not just anyone’s ‘you know whats’ … but military members …. members.
If there were two things that I would have assumed would never have ended up in a sentence together it would have to be ‘sex change operations’, ‘tax payer funded’ and ‘active duty US Military personnel.’
Yet here we are … and you thought 2020 was too much …
The Washington Examiner reported:
Taxpayers will now foot the bill for gender reassignment surgery for active military personnel and veterans, with some treatments costing upward of $200,000 under an executive order signed by President Biden.
Tucked inside Biden’s Jan. 25 transgender order, “Enabling All Qualified Americans to Serve Their Country in Uniform,” is a clause that repeals an Obama-era policy that prohibited federally funded reassignment surgery. This was followed up by memos from both Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough specifically stating that surgery is now an added benefit.
“This revised policy will also ensure all medically-necessary transition related care authorized by law is available to all Service members,” Austin wrote.
In a VA email to employees, McDonough echoed: “Perform an assessment of the necessary steps to eliminate the exclusion of ‘gender alteration’ (gender affirmation surgery) in the medical benefits package.”
I may have a different opinion than some of our readers on this … personally, I think, if an adult, (who has been determined to be sane) wants to change their plumbing, I don’t think it’s any of my business.
HOWEVER, there is no way in hell I am paying for it. There is no way in hell that kids should be exposed to this and watch as it is held out like it’ something ‘cool’.
Beyond that, if you think that you were born the wrong gender, I think there are plenty of other careers for you, other than the military.
I respect that everyone is different, but at the same time, we are talking about national security here. There is no room for even a hint of mental illness or extra stresses such as sex changes. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I want our military to be made up of the most badass, fearless, America loving MFers that we have in the US of A.
