OPINION| In a press conference that can only be described as a comedy of errors, President Joe Biden tried to take a swipe at former President Donald Trump, but it backfired spectacularly. The reason? Biden’s own “Vice President Trump” gaffe, which has been the talk of the town since it happened.
The incident occurred during a press conference where Biden was asked about his plans for the future and his thoughts on Trump’s potential return to the political scene. In his attempt to show his wit and cleverness, Biden responded with a quip that was supposed to make Trump look bad. However, the only thing that came out of his mouth was, “Listen to him.”
Yes, you read that right. “Listen to him.” That was Biden’s attempt at a zinger. It was so lackluster and underwhelming that even the reporters in the room couldn’t help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all.
But let’s rewind a bit to understand how we got here. During the press conference, Biden was asked about his thoughts on Trump’s potential return to politics.
