Business magnate Elon Musk publicly criticized the politically charged show trial against Donald Trump, arguing that it has severely undermined the integrity of America’s legal system.
Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with a hush-money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels, a decision widely considered to be the result of a biased process.
Musk expressed his disapproval of the verdict on the X platform, which has over 185 million users. He tweeted his condemnation to his extensive following, seemingly agreeing with the assessment that the trial was unfair.
“The first felony conviction of a former US President wasn’t for the Iraq or Afghanistan wars, illegal CIA coups, drone striking weddings, or spying on Americans… It was because Trump misclassified a $130,000 payment for a porn star’s NDA,” wrote a user known as Geiger Capital.
Indeed, great damage was done today to the public’s faith in the American legal system.

In response, Musk said, “Indeed, great damage was done today to the public’s faith in the American legal system.
If a former President can be criminally convicted over such a trivial matter – motivated by politics, rather than justice – then anyone is at risk of a similar fate.”
Musk is no stranger to the potential risks of malicious prosecution. Since he acquired the X platform and began openly opposing leftist ideology, prominent Democrats such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren have called for investigations into his companies.
Trump now stands as the first former U.S. president to be convicted of a crime. His sentencing is scheduled for July 11, just three days before the Republican convention.
