Beloved Actor Shot & Killed During Car Theft in Leftist Paradise, California

Johnny Wactor, a talented actor known for his role as Brando Corbin on General Hospital, was tragically shot and killed at the age of 37. The incident occurred when he and a colleague confronted three men attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his car.
Wactor’s mother, Scarlett, shared that the suspects opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3 a.m. As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
Wactor’s notable career included his time on General Hospital, where he appeared in 164 episodes from 2020 to 2022. He also made appearances in the supernatural drama show Siberia and an episode of Criminal Minds.
Scarlett Wactor remembers her son as a loving young man who leaves behind a grieving family, including his mother and two younger brothers.
This heartbreaking event comes during a period of increased crime in Los Angeles, which has affected numerous celebrities over the past two years. In August 2023, two victims were robbed at gunpoint outside the popular celebrity restaurant Craig’s on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.
Breitbart News reported on several other instances of violence against celebrities in Los Angeles in 2023, highlighting the city’s struggle with crime ahead of its mayoral election:
-In February, a man was arrested after targeting White Lotus and Baywatch star Alexandra Daddario’s house with a loaded gun. The gunman stood outside the actress’s home, screaming.
-Also in February, fashion mogul, model, and tattoo icon Kat Von D’s Los Angeles home was burglarized by an intruder who claimed he needed to use the bathroom. Von D had also announced that she would be leaving California and moving to Indiana part-time due to the state’s “tyrannical government overreach.”
-That same month, rapper Kodak Black was shot in the leg outside an afterparty hosted by singer Justin Bieber in Los Angeles.
-In November, television host and actor Terrence Jenkins, better known as Terrence J, narrowly escaped an armed follow-home robbery attempt in which a gunman shot at him.
-Actress and singer Katherine McPhee, of American Idol fame, even went as far as to say that she would not be wearing expensive jewelry out in public. “No rings, watches, or anything out in LA anymore,” she wrote.
The tragic loss of Johnny Wactor serves as a stark reminder of the growing concerns about safety and security in Los Angeles, as the city grapples with an unprecedented crime wave. The impact of this crime wave has been felt not only by the victims but also by their families, friends, and the broader community.
It is a sobering reminder of the importance of addressing the root causes of crime and working towards a safer environment for all residents and visitors.
