45th President Donald Trump a new interview published this week promised to fully release all files related to the the JFK files associated with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy if re-elected president in 2024.

Trump made the announcement during an interview this week with The Messenger. “I released a lot, as you know. And I will release everything else,” Trump told the outlet.

The 45th President ordered the release of a portion of the JFK assassination files during his first term, but ultimately redacted some 4,300 documents due to “identifiable national security, law enforcement, and foreign affairs concerns.”

When asked if the American people should find themselves concerned with what could be in the redacted files, Trump said, “Well, I don’t want to comment on that. But I will tell you that I have released a lot. I will release the remaining portion very early in my term.”

During an earlier interview with Revolver News’ Darren Beattie, the former president explained why his administration did not release the entirety of the CIA’s JFK documents, most which can be accessed on the National Archives website, Valiant News reported.

“I did release the Kennedy stuff, then somebody said ‘not all of it, and I said, ‘well, I told them to release all of it,’ you know. I did release the Kennedy stuff – no, I think it’s time as far as I’m concerned. It’s time,” Trump told Beattie.

When asked about former CIA Director Pompeo’s involvement in hindering the full release, President Trump acceded that the former Secretary of State may have played a part.

“As far as I was concerned, releasing it was good. They said some people were still living and you know, this and that,” said Trump. “They always have an excuse,” he lamented, adding that he will release all of the documents if he wins reelection in 2024.

In addition to his JFK comments during his Messenger interview, Trump told the outlet that he is doing different media in 2022, due to the changing media landscape that has seen CNN fire many of its liberal hosts and Fox News shed its loudest pro-America voice.

“I’m doing a lot of different media,” Trump explained. “I was disappointed with Fox. I thought the firing of Tucker [Carlson] was a tremendous mistake. I was very disappointed.”

The former president added that he “was disappointed with the coverage of the [2020 presidential] election in particular, the early call in Arizona.”
