Michael Sussmann’s lawyers are trying to get the case against him dismissed based on the fact that John Durham hurt his feelings. Sussmann was indicted for lying to the FBI. He fed information to the FBI that was false and on top of that when he was asked if he was working for a client in doing so. He said no, even though his law firm was representing Hillary Clinton at the time.
Sussmann’s lawyers are obviously as crooked as he is. They are claiming that lying to the FBI is protected speech under the 1st Amendment. They make a second claim that his lie had no consequences and therefore the case should be tossed. They would be correct except for the fact that the FBI opened a criminal investigation based on the lie that Trump and Alpha Bank were interconnected, which of course they weren’t.
That’s when Durham cut loose and blasted Sussmann into another time zone. In a new filing, Durham revealed that Sussmann also claimed that Trump and his associates were using Russian-made phones in the area near the White House. Personally, I use that new Mexican phone company, Taco Bell.
Michael Sussmann is trying to get his charges dismissed. Durham files his response.
Notable: Sussmann alleged Trump and his associates were using Russian-made phones in the vicinity of the White House.
They passed that info to the CIA.

Last month, Durham revealed that Hillary’s team, which included Sussmann had spied on candidate Trump and even spied on him once he was in the White House.
Attorneys with the special counsel’s office wrote that Rodney Joffe, a cybersecurity consultant referred to in court filings as “Tech Executive-1,” exploited nonpublic White House data from his former company’s pending government contract in order to find damning information about Trump.
“Tech Executive-1’s employer, Internet Company-1, had come to access and maintain dedicated servers for the EOP as part of a sensitive arrangement whereby it provided DNS resolution services to the EOP,” the brief reads, using an acronym to refer to the White House’s Executive Office of the President.
“Tech Executive-1 and his associates exploited this arrangement by mining the EOP’s DNS traffic and other data for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump.”
