Amazon has scheduled its fall shopping event, Prime Big Deal Days, for Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026. The 48-hour sale is Amazon’s biggest event between its July Prime Day and the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping season, and it is designed to let shoppers start holiday buying early.
Discounts during the event typically cover big-ticket household and tech items, including televisions, vacuums and headphones. Some televisions are already discounted ahead of the official sale dates, with markdowns spotted on models from Samsung, Hisense, TCL, Sony, Toshiba, Roku and Amazon’s own Ember and Fire TV lines.
Prime Big Deal Days is exclusive to Amazon Prime members. Shoppers who are not already subscribed can sign up for a 30-day free trial to access the deals along with Prime’s other benefits, such as fast, free shipping.
How this differs from summer Prime Day
Prime Big Deal Days and the July Prime Day event are both limited to Prime members and both feature steep discounts on a rotating selection of bestselling products. The key difference is timing: while July’s Prime Day is Amazon’s mid-year sale, Prime Big Deal Days runs every October specifically to give shoppers a head start on holiday gift buying before Black Friday and Cyber Monday arrive.
Amazon’s next major Prime Day event is expected to return in summer 2027, though comparable or larger discounts are anticipated during this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales in November.
